GPHXULYP Volunteer Event at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Mobile Food Pantry

Join the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals in volunteering at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Mobile Food Panty on Saturday, November 20TH at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Volunteering for this event will consist of preparing Thanksgiving food boxes to distribute to patrons and loading their vehicles with the boxes. This event is open to YP Members, as well as any guests, including families. (Children under 14 years of age will require adult supervision.)

Day of Details:

Arrival Time: 9:00 AM to help with Set Up

Event End: 2:00 PM until Tear Down is complete

Please complete the VOLUNTEER WAIVER and bring it to the event. If you are unable to print the waiver, email a copy of your completed waiver to Community@phoenixulyp.com. Extra copies will be available the day of the event.

Parking: Please park in the dirt parking lot located at 14th Street and Jefferson, across the street from the church.

Check-In:

We need ALL volunteers to get a temperature check before they start to volunteer. If your temperature is normal, you will be allowed to volunteer. If your temperature is not normal, you will not be able to volunteer. This will be determined by the medical advocacy.

We need for you to arrive by 9 AM, but no later than 10 AM. You are allowed to come as early as 6 AM.

After checking in, all volunteers will be asked to wash their hands and will be provided a green apron or a safety vest that must be returned at the end of your shift.

Please be sure to follow the directions of the Mobile Pantry Leadership Team (look for either the Black Jackets and/or Burgundy Polos with the word COORDINATOR on the back):
